As time passed, much of the traditional practices have been retained and can be seen in what we now call All Hallow's Eve or Halloween. It is both a time to remember and honor loved ones who have passed over and a time for rebirth. Also known as the Witches' New Year, Samhain is when witches choose to shed old habits or attitudes and replace them with new ones. This time of year is also when the veil between the physical and spiritual world is thinnest. Because of this, divination is easier and more powerful.
